Born and raised in Plymouth, Michigan it didn’t take long for Robert to realize that his heart belonged in South Carolina.  Robert attended Clemson University’s Calhoun Honors College where he graduated Cum Laude and received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management with a minor in Legal Studies. 
Robert followed in his father’s footsteps in pursuing a career in law and returned back to Michigan to receive his law degree from Thomas M. Cooley Law School in Lansing, Michigan.  During his law school career he was a member of the Dean’s List and graduated in the Top 10% of his class with a focus in litigation.  He was a member of the Moot Court team and Student Bar Association. 
Robert has been a member of the South Carolina Bar and an attorney at Parham Smith & Archenhold since May of 2010.  He teaches Sunday School at Grace Church in Greenville, is an avid golfer, and a devout Clemson Tiger fan.
